FOCUS ON SOLAR ENERGY

FOCUS ON SOLAR ENERGY

Just three years after Paul Mitchell launched, our founders looked to the future and entered the first-ever World Solar Challenge. Working with physicist Jonathan Tennyson, they designed a 19-foot-long racing vehicle covered with 150 solar panels, naming it Mana Lā, which means “Power of the Sun” in Hawaiian. With an aerodynamic design and advanced features, the car achieved speeds of up to 85 mph and was a strong contender in the race. Today, you can see the Mana Lā at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California.

"It is an honor to be recognized by Kline for our professional hairstyling products. My father co-founded this company over 40 years ago, and since then we've always strived to put the needs of the salon industry first."
